The private equity course is for:
- entrepreneur managers who want to become a business owner and have good connections and management skills in their industry to create value in an acquisition.
- investors wanting to become actively involved in the private equity market.
- service providers who want to learn more about the private equity process.
- business owners who want to buy or sell a business using private equity principles.
Over two days we will discuss a series of cases illustrating the experiences of others in the process. The key benefit of the course is the confidence gained to become involved in private equity because you know the big picture, can connect with the right people, understand the risk and the steps and have seen what others went through. The course assumes you are familiar with business strategy and elementary finance and accounting, but now want to develop and pull together the higher skills of opportunity selection, search processes, forming a team, due diligence, valuation, deal structure, and negotiation.
Cost
The course fee for the two day case-based program is $2200 ($2,000 plus 10% GST of $200), which includes all course materials and meals.
